Denpasar - After closing the series activities of the G20 Summit Presidency in Bali Province on the day before, The President of Republic Indonesia Ir. H. Joko Widodo and his entourage continued their working visit agenda accompanied by Pangdam IX/Udayana General Major Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., visited the Badung market located on Sulawesi Street No.1, Dauh Puri Kangin, West Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali Province, on Thursday (17/11/2022).
Upon arrival at Pasar Badung, President Jokowi and his entourage arrived at the market lobby to be greeted by the Mayor of Denpasar and the Managing Director of Perumda Badung Market, then on foot the President of Republic Indonesia and his entourage entered the market area while greeting market visitors and market visits and dialogue with traders.
On this occasion, the President handed over 1.500 packages of basic food assistance as well as Working Capital Assistance and symbolically the food packages and were handed over to 10 traders' representatives.
In his press statement after reviewing the market, the President of Republic Indonesia said that the review was carried out in order to see directly the conditions in the market, so that the policies taken by the government could adapt to existing conditions.
"I had direct dialogue with the traders, I heard directly (the condition of the price of goods in the market) from the traders. What are the conditions like, what are the challenges, including the effects of inflation," said the President.
Meanwhile, Pangdam IX/Udayana as the Commander of VVIP Security Operation Command (Pangkoopspam) and as the Commander of regional security task force (Dansatgas Pamwil) during the G20 Summit presidency activities were always present to ensure that the President's activities with his entourage ran safely, orderly and smoothly.
This is in accordance with Republic Indonesia Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the TNI, in Article 7 paragraph 2b it is explained regarding the Main Duties of the TNI in Military Operations Other Than War (OMSP) which are stated in point 7 namely securing the President and Vice President and their families.
So that, the Pangdam IX/Udayana as Pangkoopspam VVIP along with other security personnel always accompany the President of the Republic of Indonesia and his entourage while in Bali and Nusa Tenggara regions, starting from arrival at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport during the trip to and at the event venue until flying back again to Jakarta can run safely, orderly and smoothly.
